Artist's Description
I had this image in mind for many months before conditions were right and I actually had the opportunity to photograph it. I woke up one morning and looked outside to see a thick fog and immediately thought of this idea, so I grabbed my gear and headed out. I had already found the location and tree previously while out driving around. I got there and it was exactly as I was seeing it in my head.
This image is a very personal one for me. To me it is symbolic of being alone, lonely, uncovered, cold, dark and existing in a fog.
It also has a feeling of perseverance and strength despite everything it is faced with.
