Artist's Description
Pier Sinking Into The Water
With rainfall at above average for a few months in the East Texas area, and the lakes several feet above their normal levels, this pier was surrounded by water.
This is my artistic view of this scene. The water is smooth and the clouds are streaking by because I used a very long exposure time.
I grew up just around the corner from this pier and I have been planning to get back there to shoot it for months. I finally stopped by a few days ago to shoot it and the lake has almost swallowed it up from all the excessive rain. It is now an island pier, completely surrounded by water at this point, which made it a really interesting subject to photograph on this overcast day not long before it began to rain again.
Hope you enjoy it!
About Todd Aaron

Photographer - Adventurer - Explorer - Artist I create beautiful landscapes, cityscapes, night time landscapes and night sky images to hang on your walls or to license for commercial uses such as book illustrations, advertising, travel industry, etc. The first memory I can recall of being fascinated with photography was when I was in the 7th grade in Art class. I love to explore,...
