Artist's Description
Harley Davidson with a Jockey Shifter
The "Jockey Shift" is a hand-shifted foot clutch type of setup found on some older Harley Davidson motorcycles. This is also known as a "Suicide Clutch" setup because you have to have your left foot up on the clutch pedal which leaves only your right foot on the ground. This means you have to use your right hand to work the brake and the throttle at the same time when you are attempting to start, especially on a hill.
This setup will keep many people from asking to ride your motorcycle.
