The Rocky Creek Bridge was built in 1932. Before the opening of the bridge in 1932, residents of the Big Sur area were virtually cut off during winter due to blockages on the often impassable Old Coast Road, which led 11 miles inland. Construction required 45,000 sacks of concrete. It is located about 13 miles south of Carmel, California on the beautiful, scenic California Highway 1. The bridge is 714 feet in total length and 24 feet wide, with 260 feet of clearance below, and has a main span of 360 feet.

I had the opportunity to build a pinhole camera from scratch and then use it to make photographs which I developed in the dark room. Fast forward quite a few years and I am still fascinated with photography and excited about the ability to use it to create art that conveys the feeling, beauty and awe of the world, the way I see and feel it in person.
